It was with great sadness that we learned that on Saturday, March 6, Bishop Stanley F. Thomas entered into the nearer presence of his Lord and Savior.  As we mourn the loss of a good man, husband, father, pastor, colleague, friend, and more, we celebrated his life, witness and ministry at services held on Staten Island, NY on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13.

                                                                                 9:00-9:45 AM     -   Viewing and Visitation prior to the service.

Service Notes:
  • Worship Coordinator is the Rev. Michael Johnson.  Host site coordinator is the Rev. Duane Ullrich
  • Food for the Repast is being coordinated by Vanderbilt Ave. Moravian Church.
  • A VERY large congregation is anticipated.  Please allow extra time for parking, walking, etc.
  • Two remote areas with audio & video are being set up.
  • The gravesite is a relatively short distance from the church. It is anticipated that we will be walking to the gravesite for the commital. 
         Use of vehicles will be limited to immediate family and those who are physically unable to make the 5 minute walk. 
         Rain is predicted, so plan and dress accordingly.
  • It is anticipated that the service will be recorded to DVD. When available, information will be shared through the Provincial Office.
  • Clergy should check in at the Church Office for directions and instructions.
         Clergy will process together.  The vestment for the day will be the surplice. 
  • Donations to C.A.R.D and/or other causes dear to the heart of Br. Thomas are being requested in lieu of flowers.
